Welcome to the
Cedar Rapids│Iowa
City
PTDN
Our Mission:
The
Cedar Rapids│Iowa
City Professional Technical Diversity Network (PTDN) is a resource that
connects individuals, community organizations and employers in order to
support the growth of a diverse workforce.
Who
we are:
The Professional and
Technical Development Network (PTDN) was formed in 1997 in Seattle, WA,
by area professionals who were interested in improving diversity in
their companies and who wanted to provide opportunities for networking
with area organizations. PTDN chapters around the
country now hold local Power Networking Events. Networking events offer
an efficient outreach strategy, benchmarking best practices and
professional development. PTDN is a collaborative, noncompetitive
approach to nurturing diversity, benefiting individuals, employers and
organizations.
Throughout the year,
the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City PTDN sponsors Corridor Welcoming Receptions
and informal "Third Places" gatherings. These activities provide
opportunities to build relationships and promote professional growth
through networking. Our Welcoming Receptions typically include a short
program and refreshments. Previous receptions have featured
representatives of state and local government, diverse community
organizations and leaders of prominent employers.
